Survey of 8,000 Prisoners’ Political Views Finds Surprising Results.
What a politician believes about the impact of restoring the vote to a convicted felon often depends on which side of the aisle they stand on. A common belief amongst politicians is that felons are liberals who would vote Democratic. A survey of 8,266 prisoners by Slate and The Marshall Project found that convicts’ political views cannot be so easily pigeonholed.
They reported that:
• A plurality of white respondents back President Trump, undercutting claims that people in prison would overwhelmingly vote for Democrats.
• Long stretches in prison appear to be more politicizing: The more time respondents spend in prison, the more motivated they are to vote and to discuss politics.
• Perspectives change inside prison. Republicans behind bars back policies like legalizing marijuana that are less popular with GOP voters on the outside; Democrats inside prison are less enthusiastic about assault weapons bans than Democrats at large.
• Political views diverged by race. Black respondents are the only group pointing to reducing racial bias in criminal justice as a top concern; almost every other group picked reducing the prison population as a key priority.

Trump's Surprising Popularity in Prison.
MANY INCARCERATED WHITE PEOPLE SAID THEY'D RE-ELECT THE TRUMP—IF GIVEN THE CHANCE.
Before prison, John Adkins, 43, didn’t care about politics. He watched the news regularly but said he mostly wanted to see reports about the ongoing gang violence in Southwest Detroit, where he lived. Now, after 23 years in a Michigan prison for murder, Adkins is an ardent Republican and supporter of Donald Trump.
He credits conservative media for his political education. In prison, Adkins began watching the news again but soon grew sick of “the demonization of straight, white, Christian men on CNN and MSNBC and just about all mainstream media,” he wrote, using the email system at Macomb Correctional Facility, where he is incarcerated. So he found himself drawn to right-wing shows such as “The O’Reilly Factor” and “Tucker Carlson Tonight.” The hosts’ positions on key issues such as abortion (against) and gay marriage (also against) won him over. But above all, Adkins says, he identifies as a conservative because he feels under attack by the left.

Americans not only divided, but baffled by what motivates their opponents.
As it became clear that Democrats would win control of the U.S. House of Representatives, pundits immediately began explaining the “Blue Wave.” Some said it was rooted in concerns that President Trump was leading the nation into dangerous territory; others pointed to alarm about health care, or compassion for citizens of color and refugees. But Republican voters were having none of this, according to a recent Penn State Mood of the Nation Poll.
The nationally representative poll of 1,000 citizens included 307 voters who cast votes for Republican Congressional candidates in the midterm elections. We asked them, “In your opinion, how many citizens voting for the Democrats did so because they sincerely believe that the Democratic party is best for the country?”

Signs of antisocial personality disorder:
Be able to act witty and charming
exploit, manipulate or violate the rights of others
lack concern, regret or remorse about other people's distress
behave irresponsibly and show disregard for normal social behaviour
have difficulty sustaining long-term relationships
be unable to control their anger

Antisocial personality disorder: Personality disorders are mental health conditions that affect how someone thinks, perceives, feels or relates to others. Antisocial personality disorder is a particularly challenging type of personality disorder characterised by impulsive, irresponsible and often criminal behaviour. Someone with antisocial personality disorder will typically be manipulative, deceitful and reckless, and will not care for other people's feelings. Like other types of personality disorder, antisocial personality disorder is on a spectrum, which means it can range in severity from occasional bad behaviour to repeatedly breaking the law and committing serious crimes. Psychopaths are considered to have a severe form of antisocial personality disorder. A person with antisocial personality disorder will have a history of conduct disorder during childhood, such as truancy (not going to school), delinquency (for example, committing crimes or substance misuse), and other disruptive and aggressive behaviours.
Trump's 'Mental Acuity' Challenge Gets Exactly The Response You'd Expect.
“Yes, the first few questions are easy, but I'll bet you couldn't even answer the last five questions,” the president continued. “I'll bet you couldn't. They get very hard, the last five questions.”
TRUMP HAS OFTEN BRAGGED OF PASSING THE ASSESSMENT, AND INSISTED THAT IT WAS HARD. BUT IT’S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE. “IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE EASY FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS NO COGNITIVE IMPAIRMENT,” DR. ZIAD NASREDDINE, WHO INVENTED THE TEST, TOLD MARKETWATCH IN 2020.
It’s obvious to almost everybody that Donald Trump’s brain is throwing sparks. Especially lately. He keeps slurring his words, drawing a blank on the names of foreign leaders, forgetting what he was saying in mid-speech, and playing mix-and-match with his friends and enemies. Despite this, there are the desperate few who cling to the false messiah..
Republicans Advance Bill to Defund Law Enforcement...
WASHINGTON — House Republicans today advanced their fiscal year 2024 Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies funding bill. The legislation defunds law enforcement, makes us less safe, and hurts our economy.
While Republicans dangerously cut programs hardworking families depend on, they are making it easier for billionaires and big corporations to continue not paying their fair share in taxes. The bill cuts $22 billion from Internal Revenue Service (IRS) enforcement and operations support, providing tens of billions of dollars in tax breaks and making it easier for the ultrawealthy and well-connected to cheat on their taxes.
For 2024, the bill provides $58.7 billion, a decrease of $25 billion – 29 percent – below 2023. The legislation:
Defunds law enforcement, eliminating thousands of Federal agent, analyst, and prosecutor positions. Harms communities and hurts the economy by gutting Economic Development Administration (EDA) programs that predominately serve rural communities, as well as the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA). Makes families and children less safe by slashing Missing and Exploited Children Programs, legal services, and other resources that prevent violence.
Opens our schools, grocery stores, churches, concerts, and communities up to more devastating mass shootings by making it easier for guns to end up in the wrong hands.

Trump made it easier for the mentally ill to get guns when he rolled back Obama regulation.
In 2017, Trump quietly rolled back an Obama-era regulation that made it harder for people with mental illness to buy guns.

Narcissism and hypocrisy go hand in hand because hypocrisy is a form of entitlement. Most narcissists believe the rules don't apply to them, even though they are quick to enforce them on everyone else.
How to Spot a Two-Faced Hypocrite
Do you know any people who are as phony as a three-dollar bill? They say one thing yet do another; they make rules but don’t follow them; and they live one way in public yet another in private. They’re so dishonest, they could be called professional liars. In fact, many hypocrites even lie to themselves. They’re two-faced hypocrites.
Hypocrisy is an addiction. You dupe people once and think you can get away with it again. But although you may think that you’re fooling the world, you’re only kidding yourself. People are on to you, and the ramifications are worse than you think.
How can you be a trusted friend, respected parent, credible role model, or an effective leader if you’re living a lie? As the saying goes, “Some people are like pennies. Two-faced and worthless.”
Two-faced hypocrites quickly give themselves away by their behavior. Here are 23 ways to spot one.
Hypocrites: Say one thing but do another.
Treat those in power differently than they treat underlings.
Give advice but fail to follow their own guidance.
Preach tolerance but judge others who don’t conform to their way of thinking.
Volunteer others but rarely raise their own hand.
Live one way in public but another in private.
Pretend to be someone they’re not merely to win acceptance.
Make rules but fail to follow the rules themselves.
Preach morality but live a shameful life.
Demand things of others that they’re unwilling to do themselves.
Say one thing to someone’s face but another thing behind their back.
Pretend to be wealthy even though their bank account is scanty.
Alter their opinion to gain acceptance from people with differing viewpoints.
Condemn the actions of others even though they commit those same acts themselves.
Promote a holier-than-thou image merely to offset reckless behavior.
Help people only when it’s in their personal interest to do so.
Pretend to care even when their motive is really self-serving.
Demand austerity for others but handsomely compensate themselves.
Feign outrage even though they have no intention of doing anything about it.
Penalize some folks for wrongdoing but look the other way for everyone else.
Lecture people about morality but cover up for their friends.
Judge others but call people intolerant when they’re personally judged.
Act one way when folks are looking, the opposite when they’re not.
