The Bible tells us to beware of false prophets who would lead us astray from God's will and plan for our lives. Scripture says to "test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world." (1 John 4:1)
In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.
To best recognize false prophets, we should diligently study the Bible and guard our hearts and mind against following anyone other than the Son of God, Jesus Christ. Let us focus our faith and attention on the true messiah and obey His teachings for the blessing of eternal life!

Watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them for such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of children.

Christianity Today Editor: Evangelicals Call Jesus “Liberal” and “Weak”
An evangelical leader is warning that conservative Christians are now rejecting the teachings of Jesus as "liberal talking points."
Russell Moore, former top official for the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) who is now the editor-in-chief of Christianity Today, said during an interview aired on NPR's All Things Considered this week that Christianity is in a "crisis" due to the current state of right-wing politics.
Moore has found himself at odds with other evangelical leaders due to his frequent criticism of former President Donald Trump. He resigned his position with the SBC in 2021 following friction over his views on Trump and a sex abuse crisis among Southern Baptist clergy.
In his NPR interview, Moore suggested that Trump had transformed the political landscape in the U.S. to the point where some Christian conservatives are openly denouncing a central doctrine of their religion as being too "weak" and "liberal" for their liking.
Perjury and False Oaths—Those who take an oath in the name of the Lord and fail to keep it, or break the oath at a later date, show a grave lack of respect for the Lord of all speech (CCC 2152).
On Jan. 20, 2017, Donald Trump put his hand on a Bible and took the presidential oath: "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
In the almost two and a half years since that moment, Trump has willfully and repeatedly violated this promise.

Donald Trump blatantly violated his oath of office and fanned the flames of the insurrection on January 6th. As Congress met to certify the election of Joe Biden as President, a defeated Donald Trump incited and set loose a vicious, racist, mob on the United States Capitol – a mob he knew to be heavily armed.
He had sworn an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic, yet he assembled, incited, and directed a domestic enemy to attack the Capitol. And for more than three hours he refused to call off the mob. He sat and watched on TV the horrible violence he had instigated and did nothing despite the pleas of his advisors, Fox News personalities, his family, and members of Congress whose lives were in jeopardy. He even went so far as to throw fuel on the fire at the Capitol by attacking his Vice President, Mike Pence, in a tweet that further inflamed the mob.
TRUMP DENIES HE SUGGESTED ‘TERMINATION’ OF CONSTITUTION, WITHOUT DELETING POST.
On Truth Social on Saturday, he repeated false claims about election fraud, which he said “allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution.”
The post seemed to be a complete denial of his post from Saturday, which remained online as of Monday afternoon: “A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution,” Trump wrote over the weekend, once again falsely asserting that there was widespread fraud in the 2020 election.
